London Business Leader Based in NYC Honored For Global Achievements

The financial services & fintech connection between London and New York City have always been prevalent.  London’s growth agency, London & Partners, has been an integral part of that partnership helping New York fintech's expand to London (and vice versa). VCs have invested roughly $3.7 billion into NYC fintech start-ups and $3.3 billion into London fintech start-ups to date in 2024. The two top cities for fintech VC investment.

Amrit Kang, Vice President East Coast, has been a key player in strengthening the fintech bridge between London and New York City helping more than 200 tech companies with their internationalization journey. The fintech and female tech communities have certainly noticed as Amrit has been named an Inspiring Fintech Female by the Women's FinTech Network for her efforts.

Utilizing her networks and experience, she enables founders from the UK and the US to access clients and investment globally and guides them through the opportunities and challenges in establishing their businesses in new markets.

Some key companies that Amrit has been at the forefront of their international expansion include MoonPay a US based web3 platform who builds payments infrastructure for crypto, and RobinAI, a London based AI software that generates and analyzes contracts for legal teams.

Laura Citron OBE, CEO at London & Partners, said: "Amrit has been key to London & Partners' success in scaling fintech companies. From London to New York, she’s built a network that’s sparked connections and empowered female leaders across the globe. This honour is a fitting recognition of her impact and dedication.”

London & Partners Board Chairman and Deputy Mayor of London for Business and Growth, Howard Dawber said: “Amrit Kang is a huge asset to London & Partners and has been fundamental in banging the drum for London’s fintech sector and strengthening relationships between London and New York. I am thrilled that the Women’s FinTech Network is shining a light on her achievements in helping businesses establish themselves in new markets, as we continue to build a more prosperous London for everyone.”

Prior to London & Partners, Amrit studied and practiced criminal defense law, which honed her analytical skills and attention to detail. She also worked for the fintech conference LendIt (now Fintech Nexus) where she learned how to convene large events and bring together leaders in the fintech sector.
