Mayor of London's international business programme partners with Moore Kingston Smith to support scaleups

Moore Kingston Smith and the Mayor's International Business Programme announce new partnership
London & Partners’ Mayor’s International Business Programme (MIBP) and Moore Kingston Smith today announced a strategic partnership to help London-based scaleups achieve their international growth ambitions.
The new partnership will provide programme members with access to advisers from a leading UK multi-disciplinary professional services firm to support them on their scaling journey. Since its inception in 2016, the MIBP has helped more than 1000 London-based companies internationalise, creating over 1,700 jobs for the global economy.
Companies on the programme already benefit from a wide range of free support services, including a mentoring scheme, workshops, access to trade missions and introductions to top corporates all over the world.
Deputy Mayor of London for Business, Rajesh Agrawal, said: “The last year has been challenging for businesses in London and around the world, but the ambitions of London scaleups to grow internationally continue to go from strength to strength. Moore Kingston Smith’s expertise will be of enormous benefit to companies on the Mayor’s International Business programme, providing them with the support they need to grow and succeed in new markets.”

During the pandemic, the programme continued to keep global expansion plans moving for London scaleups through a series of virtual trade missions for scaling companies to digitally explore new markets and directly connect with potential customers. Recently the MIBP also ran its first diversity, equity and inclusion trade mission to North America, supporting entrepreneurs from Black, Asian or mixed backgrounds to fulfil their growth ambitions.
Moore Kingston Smith joins Microsoft, Ciklum, Globalization Partners, Taylor Wessing and Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati as partners of the Mayor’s International Business Programme.

The MIBP welcomes a new cohort of companies every quarter, with its 20th cohort launching on 12th July. More than 50 London-based scaleups will be joining the programme and are invited to attend lots of virtual events throughout the week.
